Who's it for?

When you're the grown-up in the room.

Heartsaver is the American Heart Association's first aid and CPR course for people whose job isn't medical, but who'd be the first one there when it counts. Teachers. Coaches. Camp and childcare staff. Gym and pool crews. Dental and front-office teams. If a school, an employer, or a licensing board is asking you for a card, this is the one.
You'll cover CPR and AED for adults, kids, and infants, choking, and the first aid that matters in the real moment. No medical background. No online pre-course to grind through. One class in the room with us, a manual, and a two-year AHA card on the way out.

The difference

The seconds matter

Anyone can hand you a card. Watch a few videos, click through a quiz, get signed off by a screen. Quick. Also useless the day a kid goes down in front of you and your hands don't know where to go.

So we teach it in the room, on real manikins, with real repetitions, and we don't let you leave until it's in your hands. Because the day you need this, nobody's checking your card. They need you to move.

Taught by the two people who actually run the call.

Sam is a firefighter-paramedic with eleven years of running these calls. Nicole is a pediatric nurse who's cared for thousands of kids. Learn this from the two people who actually do it, on real calls, on real children, and something shifts. You stop hoping you'd manage. You start believing you could.

Almost nothing to do before class.

While you wait, take a look at what a class actually looks like, most people are surprised how hands-on it is.

What is Heartsaver first aid and CPR?

Heartsaver is the American Heart Association's first aid, CPR, and AED course for people who aren't healthcare providers. It covers CPR and AED for adults, children, and infants, choking, and everyday first aid, and it earns a two-year AHA certification card.

Who needs a Heartsaver certification?

Teachers, coaches, school and childcare staff, camp counselors, gym and pool staff, dental and front-office teams, foster and adoptive parents, and anyone whose job or license asks for first aid and CPR without a medical background.

Do I need a medical background to take it?

No. Heartsaver is written for people with no medical training. If you can follow along and put your hands on a manikin, you can pass this class.

Should I take Heartsaver or BLS?

If you're not in a clinical role and a school, employer, or license is asking for first aid and CPR, Heartsaver is your class. If you're a nurse, EMT, or other healthcare provider, or your job specifically requires BLS for Healthcare Providers, take BLS instead. Still not sure? Message us and we'll point you to the right one.

Is there online homework before class?

None. There's no pre-course to grind through at home. You grab the AHA manual, show up to one in-person class, and we teach you the rest.

How long is the class, and when do I get my card?

Plan for about 3 hours in person. Your AHA eCard is on its way within 24 to 48 hours after you finish.

Will my school or employer accept this card?

Yes. It's issued through the American Heart Association and our aligned training center, the same standard used across hospitals and schools, and it's valid for two years.

Can you certify my whole staff or team?

Yes. We'll bring the class to you for groups of up to 24, one date, no travel fee. Message us to set it up.
